The Government Meteorologist telegraphed at noon to-day as follows: Indications are for northerly winds, I moderate to strong. Expect, warm and sultry conditions, with increasing haze and cloudiness for a change. The ■barometer liaw a- falling tendency. Tides good. Sea moderate. WATER SCARCITY AT BLUFF. (Per Phess Association.) Invereargill, January 11. Owing to tlie acute scarcity of lvator at Bluff, the tug Theresa this morning left for Port William, Stewart Island, for-a supply. Port William in the early daya wa3 the rendezvous for whaling and sailing vessels.
