Though aii enormous quantity of clothing lias been despatched' to the Old Country by the Over-Seas Club, the end' to giving by people in North Otago lias by no means been reached, for fresh stocks are constantly coming forward. The Committee ac-knbwledge receipt of secondi-hand clothing, and new articles from the following:— Oamaru —Mrs Creagh (Wharfe street). Mrs M'Fadgen. (Avoir street). Middle School (per Miss Wilding)! South School, Mrs Edwards, Mrs Swinard (Severn street), A Friend. Columba Church Guild (4 cases), and Waitaki fiovs* High School (1 bos). Otekaike)—Mrs W. Dumbleton. Mrs E. Butt, Mrs J. Parker. Mrs .T.'HosJrins. Mrs T. Wiliamson, Mrs A. M'Keuzie, Mrs J. Crop. Miss Hoskins, and Misses Cree. Duntroon.—Mrs A. Fyfc, Mrs W. Sutherland', Mrs J. Sutherland,. Mrs Tiddv. Miss Anderson. Mrs Galbraith, Mrs Coign n, Mrs- H. Pringlo, Mrs J. Fyfe, and Miss Corrigall. Georgetown—Mrs A. Don and Mrs Geddes, sen. Tokarahi —Mrs C. Grant-. Enfield—Mrs M. Little and; Mrs Pringle. Palmerston—Mr R. Pollock and Mrs O. .Barclay. In addition, a. sack full of clothing came from an. unknown source. The Committee also acknowledge material assistance from the following:— Messrs Bulleid and Co. (cases), M'Ca.llirm and Co. (cases and timber), G. L. Grenfell (cases), and. the New Zealand Express Co. and Messrs T. Kidd, G. Ward*. E. Speed Cfree cartage). The Commitee desire us to make itknown. that.it is desirable when sending in second-hand' clothing to exercise a. discretion, as a good many articles are received rhat cannot be turned to any account, and this entails a considerable amount of unprofitable labor.

Tt should l be mentioned that the foregoing has reference only to the Club's activity in the matter of clothing for the poor of Britain and the. Belgian refugees. In addition, the Ladies Committee are doing a great amount ot work in connection with providing refor our boys going t- the front, and in that enterprise they have the active co-operation of a large number of ladies in the country. The Ladies Committee acknowledge -with thanks the following gifts for soldiers: —South School, 13 housewives, 22 handkerchiefs. 24 service- bags, bootlaces: Otepopo School, 4 face-cloths, (i eye bandages, 4 service bags, 7 handkerchiefs, 6 button bags, 2 pairs mittens, 1 housewife; Mrs de Lambert, 0 pairs mittens; Mrs Hughes (Tokarabi), ] balaclava, 3 pairs mittens; Mrs Mair, 3 pairs sox and wool, parcel of clothing; Mrs Gillespie, 10 cholera belts; Mrs Hamilton, 4 pair sox, 1 belt, 1 housewife: per Mrs Frith, 21 service bags. 8 handkerchiefs, 5 sponge bags, 36 balaclavas, 33 pairs sox, 15 scarves, 11 button bags', 30 pairs cuffs and mit'•trcns. 1 face cloth.
