NEW RECRUITING SCHEME.
Per PnF.ss Association. Wellington. December 21. At its meeting to-day. Cabinet had before it the new recruiting proposal--by which it is proposed to get- into personal touch with all eligible men. The scheme was adopted with a tew alterations, which were required to be arranged hefere the details were avail- -!>:.■. Recruiiiog is to he controlled by a Board consisting of the Prime Minister, the Deiente Minister, and the Finance Minister. This hoard will- appoint its r-.vn secretary, and arrange lor other oliioor-. Thf new scheme will be brought into np> ration early iiexi year. The heard will call to it- a-sf-tanee members o: Ihiml Indies throiigheu t, the Dominion, and a!-o member* of various com-miiu-e-. b idles, and organisations—even down t.i school committees. The scheme wiil not interfere more than pii---ili!e with the existing recruiting organisations, and work will be coordinated as far as is possible between the new ac.'i the present recruiting or-gaiii-aiio.is. Each locality or centre however remote, will have its- own organisation, and will be in persona! touch with the available men in its district.
