LOWER WAITAKI PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
At a recent meeting of the Managers of"the Lower Waitaki Presbyterian Church it was unanimously agreed to provide tho Airedale settlers witli _ ~ service once a month. Foisome considerable time the Airedale ■settlers have been supporters of the Church, but. no services have been held * owing to the fact that no suitable building hlftl been erected. The new sehoolhouse has removed this difficulty and it- is believed that the proposed service will supply a long-felt want. Rev. G. V. Hunt will conduct the service on Sunday afternoon, November 7, at 2.30 p.m.. and hopes to organise a Suuday school for the benefit of the children. Tile Papnknio congregation are to enjoy the privilege of a Sunday evening service one a month. The first of these services will be held nest Sunday evening at 7 o'clock- A roll of honor is being compiled containing the names of the young men of the parish who have enlisted for the front. : It will be read at- the evening service, which will be appropriate to the occasion, Mr Hnnt's subject being "The Tent, the Cairns, mid the Cross. 7 '
