'APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTEES. (Peu Press Association.) Christchurdi, January 21. The Senate of the University of New Zealand resumed its sitting this mornmg. The Chancellor (Sir Robert Stout) presided. And all members wore nreserit . with the exception of the Vice-Chan-cellor (tiir Charles Bowen). The Eev. \Y. Evans .and Mr Von Haast "(chairman of the Board of Governors of Canterbury College) wrote with respect to_ the proposal to establish a School or Engineering at Auckland. It was decided to take a debate on the subject on Monday.
