WELSH DISASTER.

Shaw has been, fined £24 and 20 guineas costs for breaches of the mine regulations. The charges against the company were dismissed. [The Home Office issued a summons against Edward Shaw, manager of the Senghenydd mine, for negligence in connection with the safety lamps, the regulation of tho temperature, the failure to provide means for a reversed air current, and the failure to prevent dust accumulating.]
