SARDINIAN MIRACLE.

A supposed miracle is reported from Luht, a small village near Xuoro. Sardinia, where a young mail named ijartiii Delogu. who had been dumb for two years, suddenly recovered his speech. Delogu two years ago was culled to serve his time iu the army, ily passed the necessary medical examination and was draited into a regiment serving in X a pics. Within a month he mysteriously became dumb. More than a year passed and Dclogu's mother prayed hard to all the saints to give back her son his speech. A few days ago slit* persuaded him to undertake a pilgrimage to the Church of St. .Francis, more than twenty-four miles- distant. Delogu walked for seven hours and when he reached the church oil the hill lie recovered his speech. Now, while all the inhabitants of Lul.-i are elated, the military authorities arc investigating the case in order to decide whether Delogu should' be called to serve his time in the armv.
