PLUNKET SOCIETY.

(Fbh Press Association.) Wellington, July 10. A large "deputation of delegates of the Plunket Society Conference waited ou the Prime Minister to-day. Replying, Mr Massey said the Government would endeavor to relieve l)r Truby King from liis duties at Scaeliff for a* portion of the year to enable him to devote more-time to the work of the Plunket Society. He promised to consider an increased grant to tlio Karitane Hospital, Dunedin, when framing tile Supplementary Estimates/ and agreed to the necessity of -a pure milk supply. The Hon. Mr Rhodes said he would always favor controlling the milk supply in towns and cities. The Hon. Mr Allen said that the women connected with the movement were a great national asset to the Dominion.
