SENDING THEM HOME FREE. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] (Per Press Association.) Capetown. June 9. The Indian Grievance Bill was read a second time by 60 to 24. It provides . free passages for those willing to return to India and forego residence in ■South Africa. Mr Leuchars feared the natives would regard the concessions to the Indians as a sign of weakness, and would be likely to follow""the Indians' precedent in regard to taxes. The Natal members demanded that a referendum be taken before the Bill was proceeded with", hut the Lahorites-urged repatriation with compensation. Mr Botha said the Government wonld jlo its best to get Natal out of the mire, and would go a long way towards repatriation.
