RICHEST BOY IN THE WORLD.

RECEIVES ANOTHER £2,000,000. Under a judicial decree, signed last month, John Nicholas Brown, aged 14, who has been known for as the richest boy in the world, will" add another £2,000,000 to his fortune. This will make him the possessor of at least £4,500,000, according to the New York correspondent of the "Daily -^Telegraph. The latest legacy comes from the estate of . the textile manufacturer, John Carter Brown, the boy's grandfather, who died twentv-six vears before the child was born,- and whose estate of £5,000,000 has been in trust- for forty years. The boy's father, who was founder of the University at Providence, Rhode Island, which bears his name, died a few days after birth, and left him a large estate. Young ■Brown's mother was Miss Natalie Dresser, sister of Mrs George "Yanderbilt. Mrs William Watts Sherman, whose daughter, Miss Mildred Constanca Sherman, became Lady Camoys three years ago, was the other chief beneficiary by the. will oi the university founder. American newspapers for years have paid- special attention to young Brown because of his wealth, and many fanciful stories have been "printed of his "guards" to , prevent kidnapping. According to friends of the family, these stories are chiefly, imaginary.- and though young Brown has never" lacked luxury, he has lived very much like other rich boys of his own age, without being spoilt.
