KING'S BIRTHDAY PARADE.

Per Press Association. Wellington, June 3. A review of the Wellington city and suburban Territorials and ex-South African contingents, in honor of the King's Birthday, was held by Sir lan Hamilton at Newtown Park this morning. Altogether 1418 .men were on parade. A royal salute of 21 guns was fired by the "D" Battery, after which the troops were inspected by Sir lan Hamilton. Then followed the marchpast in column and quarter-column and advance in review order. The proceedings, which were'highly successful, were watched, by 10,000 spectators. The morning was fine, but- the afternoon was threatening for the holiday. The review and the Otfiki races were the principal attractions. Dunedin, June 3. The Dunedin Territorials paraded at the Oval this morning. A royal salute was fired. The troops, numbering about 1000, were inspected by the O.C. district. The National Reserve was lustily cheered whilst passing the saluting liase. After the parade the Officers' Club placed a wreath on the fallen soldiers' monument. ■

Auckland, June 3. The King's Birthday is observed as a general holiday. There were 3850 Territorials and Cadets on parade in. the Domain. Colonel Herd was the reviewing officer.

A parade of the local Territorial and Cadet companies was held this morning in .honor of the King's Birthday. The latter mustfered.-well, but the Territorials availed themselves freely of privileges respecting "leave.'' ' The troops fell in at the Drill Hall under Major M'Culloch, and marched to the Town Hall, where they were drawn .up in line and gave the general salute, the staff officer receiving same being Jjieut.Colonel Ma ban, Y.D., who was attended by his Worship the Mayor and other leading citizens. Lieut .-Colonel Mahan and his Worship the Mayor inspected the troops, after which cheers were given for the King. The battalion then marched past in column and _ in quarter column, the movement being carried out with precision and accuracy. The parade lasted no more than an hour, and will be allowed to count as a whole day parade towards the current year's training •
