BREACHES OF OPIUM ACT.
Per Press Association. Wanganui, June 1. At the Magistrate's Court, G. H. Grant, an assistant in the local chemist's shop, was fined £1 and costs on each of two charges of breaches of the Opium Act. The trenches were unintentional. and it was the first case of the kind heard in Wanganui. Christehurch. May 30. Ah Mow was fined £3O and costs for having opium illegally in his possession.
