DUNEDIN UNEMPLOYED.

Dunedin, June 1. A meeting of unemployed general laborers was called lor this morning, but tlie response did not, ib was claimed, indicate the true position of unemployment in Dunedin. Nineteen married men with So dependents and 23 single men with six dependents answered the roll call, all able-bodied men who stated that they were anxious for work.

It was resolved that a special meeting of the Union be held to-night, and p?-obably_ steps will be taken to placo the position before Mr Massey.
