(Per Press Association.) Auckland, May 30. —Rugby.— City 21 beat Parnell 0, " the latter abandoning the game at half time. College Rifles 8 beat University 3. Ponsonbv 9 beat Marist Bros. 8.

—League. — Otahuhu and Newton drew, 10 all, Ponsonbv 19 beat Grafton 5. North Shore 8 beat City 6.

—Association. — Thistle and Brotherhood drew, 2 all. North Shore 4 beat Y.M.C.A. 2.

NORTH OTAGO RUGBY SUB-UNION

The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the North Otago Rugby Sub-Union was held on Friday evening, when there were present: Messrs J. S. Burns (Chairman), Couper, Edie, Brien. Mullen, W. D. Burns, Broad, Doran, Molloy, Herbert, Cooney, Carson, Wallace, and Atkinson (secretary). . The Secretary of the Otago Unionintimated that "the Canterbury Union, would consider an invitation .for thenjunior team to play at Oamaru on a later date. An application from Mr Duggan for a football for the Windsor School was granted. .The Athletic Club was granted permission to travel to Dunedin on the 3rd June under the joint managership of Messrs Doran and Broad. Mr John Wallace tendered his resignation as a member''of the Committee owing to removal from the district. The resignation was received with refa Mr Joe Reid was appointed to fill the vacancy on the Committee. Mr Doran, referee in the AthleticExcelsior game, notified having ordering Bartlett, of the former team, off the field of play for questioning his decision. Bartlett admitted having used the words, "It is always Blue s ball," but claimed that he was referring to the touch-line judge. The delinquent's name was ordered to be placed on the caution list. Mr Doran also reported having cautioned Milligau, of the Excelsior team. It was decided to notify Milhgan that in the event of any further complaint being made against him, lie would be severely dealt with. Messrs W. D. Burns, Brien, and Molloy were appointed a selection Committee. , The Transfer Committee reported having granted several transfers, and their action was confirmed. The Excelsior Club forwarded a copy of a letter received from the secretary of the Balclutha Club confirming the statement that Newsham had not been a member- of the Balclutha Club for three or four years.

The following members of the Excelsior Football Club are requested to meetin the Club-room to-night to make arrangements for a match, Excelsior v. Hiwiroa (Waimate) to be played on Wednesday at Oamaru: Douglas, Forbes. M'Combie, Eccles (2), Bain, Tavlor. Keith, Muir, Whyte. Barsdell, Young; Milligan, Holland, Weller, Direen, Newson,. Booth, Robertson, Rosie, Lindsay, Goodall and Thomson (captain). . ,
