STRANGE MISHAP ON ARMY PARADE GROUND. Paris, November 3. A bov was accidentally carried off by a groat military kite to-day on: the nmiueiivre ground at Ronchin, near Lillc - The inventor.of the kite was giving a demonstration in the presence of an assemblage of army officers and spectators when the cords which anchored it broke. A boy of fourteen, Gaston Dubuf, who. was standing near, seized the end of the cord as the kite rose in the air. in an attempt to hold it down. As the kite lifted Jiim off his feet he seemed powerless to release his hold, i and lie was carried aloft, while liisJ mother, who was present, shrieked and implored the inventor to save ber son. The kite rose quickly to a height of about fifty feet, with the boy dangling at the end of the cord and screaming for-holp. Then suddenly it dipped, and when it was at a height . of about twenty feet the boy let go. ~ He crashed heavily to the ground, and was picked up suffering from severe internal injuries, frojn which be is not expected to recover.
