The Government' Meteorologist telegraphed at noon to-day:— Weather continues threatening., andthe indications are for variable and strong breezes prevailing, freshening "to northerly strong to gale. _ Expect warm and sultry weather, increasing haze, The weather appears likely to change for the worse after about 24 to 36 -hours. Barometer 'unsteady but falling fast after about 16 hours. Sea, lieavy swell.
