CANTERBURY FROZEN MEAT COMPANY.

Christchurch, December 17. The annual meeting of the Canterbury Frozen Meat and Dairy Produce Export Company was held this afternoon. The annual report showed the net profit for the year as £23,512 9s lid, which, with the amount brought forward from last year, makes the amount at credit of profit and loss account £25,625 5s 7d. Out of this £2OOO is added to the general reserve fund, increasing it to £45,000, £IOOO is also added to the insurance reserve fund, bringing the same up to £IO,OOO, and £3OOO is written off works. The amount of £4500 is placed to reserve to provide for renewals and replacements dn progress and authorised. After apportioning these amounts and deducting the dividend paid at the half year there remains £8526 3s 7d, which the directors propose to deal with as follows: Payment of a further dividend of 3 per cent, on preference and 4 per cent, on ordinary shares, making a total dividend for the year of 6 per cent, and 8 per cent, (absorbing £6599 2sV and to carry forward the balance of "£1927 Is 7d. The quantities of stock dealt with at the Company's works were: Belfast 376,745, Fairfield 271,284, Pareora ; 271,478; total, 919,507.:. The report was . adopted." - ■' |
