Unionists, alluding to the Government's refusal to accept the amendment giving power to the Irish judiciary, said the courts were always a terror to-tyrants. To them Hampden appealed" against a. despotic king, and it was equally necessary to-day against, tho tyranny of the majority. If. as Mr Churchill suggested, after Home Rule was passed, there would be ;r general election before it became operative, it meant the Government foresaw defeat. Mr Bonar Law predicted that there would be bloodshed in Ulster before Home Rule became law. and trouble ■in the rest of Ireland when it wps reversed. ___
