• . The Rev. W. 'Will, one of the_olde»fc ministers of the Presbyterian C&SSS' died at Dunedin on Saturday. Mr Will was born in Scotland m 1825, and in 1853 he decided to come to New Zealand. He was appointed second minister in Otago, and took up his duties, at East Taieri in February, 1854. He remained in charge of that congregation for 45 vears, but advancing years necessitated" his retirement from active work "Miss" Jane Taylor, daughter of Mr J. A. Taylor, of Kokoamo, met with an accident of a kind very unusual in this district. While she was walking in the plantation on Friday evening during the heavv gale an uprooted tree fell uoon ber and pinned her to the ground. _ Fortunately it was found that her injuries ■ were not of a serious nature.
