Tho Colonel is receiving many threatening letters, and a special police guard has been provided. Mr Roosevelt is suing George Newells* editor of a small daily at Ishpoming, Michigan, claiming damages for alleged libel. Newells published an article accusing Mr Roosevelt of intemperance 1a language and liquor.
