.: ;(feoiii Our Own Correspondent.) /A committee meeting was held; at 1.30 p.m. on' Saturday. In the absence of the Presideint, -the Vice-President (Mr Q. F. d'Auvergne) occupied the chair. Before taking any business a vote of sympathy and condolence was recorded with" the President, Mr W. Ghavertonv in the loss of his wife, lately deceased. The Chairman reported that the purchaser of the publican's booth had offered an additional £5 if allowed to erect a booth out on the open instead of being compelled to use the permanent building. A motion that permit sion be granted to erect a tent where desired by the license was lost, only the proposer and seconder voting for it. The T.iniaru A. and P.' Association, wrote asking the Committee to appoint a delegate to attend ia. meeting in co-u----nection. with the attempt to havo experimental farms established in the South Island. The President was appointed a and in case he was unable to act, Mr J. Bitchener to take his place. The Temuka and Geraldine A<. and V. -Association notified' date of 1913 show .—Received. The Canterbury A. and P. Association wrote that an address would be given before members of their society by Ins the Governor during show week, and inviting a representative of the Waimate Society to attend. —Received ; the Vice-President to be asked to represent the Society. The Lands and Survey Department wrote asking to have the title of the old show ground forwarded duly transferred to the Crown. —Referred to thei Society's solicitor to attend to. Accounts amounting to £26 .2s were passed for payment.
