CRICKET.

W'VRNEH'S ESTIMATE OF THE TEAM. (Independent Cable Service.) : London, May 1. The composition of the Australian cricket team and its prospects were discussed to-day' by P. F. Waraer, who ( captained the last English Eleven that toured Australia. Referring to the wicket-keepers, "ft . Carkeek and H. Webster, Warner gave it as his opinion that neither man was a Jim-class player. He predicted that the team would not prove equal to the task'of defeating England, but thought that with wise leadership it might do well. Its weakest point was in the wieket-keepiug. Speaking of the bowl- ! ing. Warner said it possessed: variety, ( but that it would!" probably be found wanting on a good wicket. AUSTRALIA v. NORTHAMPTON.
