Received April 12, at 9.45 a.m. Berlin, April. 11. -There is a growing movement for an enquiry into the effects of Pi'otectionDr Gothein, a member of the Reichstag, in an article in the Tageblatt, predicts that an impartial enquiry will disclose the need of an entirely new economic policy. He declares that new commercial treaties have hindered, rather than helped exporters.
