The um continued all the afternoon. The rid-ing-was very slow. 'Many of theNcompetitors were muscle-bdundj necessitating continual massaging. - Seventeen hundred and' ten,, miles had been covered up to five o'clock.
Sydney, January 5. A motor cyclist-. travelled i between Melbourne and Sydney'in 31 hours-1« minutes. This is 2 houis 44, seconds better than Tormey's recent record.
