The latest volume of London's own Blue Book—the year-book entitled "London Statistics for 1910-11," issued by the London County Council —contains an impressive multitude; of interesting facts and statistics. In its 637 pages all phases of Metropolitan life are shown through the medium of tabulated figures. . Greater London —an area of 693 square - miles has ; a population of ! 7,252,963, and the property therein is assessed at £60,496,000. The total Parliamentary electorate in the London County Council; area is 670,110, of whom 575,058 are householders, 88,657 lodgers and 6395 freemen of the City of London. In the County Council area there are 50 theatres, 48 music halls, 292 cinematograph theatres, besides skating rinks, concert halls, and dancing-rooms. There are 6778 on-licensed premises in the country, the borough with the highest number being;the City of Westminster with 626,J Stepney , coming next with 600, and Hampstead and Stoke Newington bring up the rear with 57 and 37 respectively.
