The Citizens' Band, as usual, will be on board, and every effort will-'be made to make the trip as enjoyable as possible. " The_ vessel is announced to leave Dunedin wharf 'at 8 aim., ,and will arrive at Oamara aboiit 12.30, returning- at 3 o'clock. This will'give passengers 2i hours in which to •admire the "White City." ■'On arrival at Wellington from Newcastle it was evident that the Waihora had met with, heavy weather. According" to an exchange, the Waihora left Newcastle onFridav, December 15, and, from 4 p.m. on the following day. a heavy south-west gale, accompanied by mountainous seas, raged until she was nearing-the New Zealand coast. On Sunday morning a tremendous sea came, on board, and in its career it carried away part of the lower bridge and a gangway, smashed the bulwarks for some distance, and practically flooded ±be- vessel. Sea after sea then came on-.board with alarming suddenness., and oil had to he resorted to. Meanwhile the Waihora was liove-to for 10 boors. At 6 p.m. the vessel was put oh'her course again, but still the seas came over her, and carried away more deck gear, and again the vessel was hove-to. Air this time the decks were continually awash, and everything which was not secured went overboard. The^storm-abated for a few hours after midnight on Hondav, but on the follow-ing-evening heavy ■ weather way met with, and more water _ was shipped. These conditions prevailed until Stephen Island was passed, and, much to the relief of all on board, the Waihora made" port without further mishap.
