Ottawa. December 23. Mr Boiirassa. leader of the Nationalists, attacked Colonel Hughes on the ground of the la.tter's advocacy of military training. Mr Boiirassa declared that Colonel Hughes had invited 25,000 schoolboys to become debauched and plav the fool at the State's expense. Colonel Hughes replied good-humored-Iv that if 3lr Boiirassa had' received.:, militarv training in his youth he would be a tralv great man, and it would afford "him great pleasure to gazette Mr Boiirassa a major to command a squadron of mounted rifles or hussars.
