In the sprinting races Trembath (Xew Zealand) defeated Taylor over the 350 yards by five yards in 40 seconds. He was also victorious in the 500 yards, winning by five yards in G7 seconds. The Victorian athlete Davis did not arrive yesterday with the other Australians.
