AN INQUIRY.
To the Editor. Sir. —The fourth local of your issue of Saturday last, anent Messrs Herdman and Herrics requesting a hearing for Sir Joseph Ward outside the Times office at Wellington last week, concludes with the following sentence: "It was the accusations hurled by the Opposition party at Sir Joseph Ward that aroused the brutal instincts of the worst section of the community." For the benefit of a number of your readers would you kindly explain the meaning of the* foregoing, and oblige.—l am, etc., RICHD. DUNCAN.
