PAYMENT OF TEACHERS.

(Pee Press Association.) Wellington, December 20. A new aiid—for the school, "teachers in the Wellington education districtmore convenient system of monthly.pay-; ment of salaries is to bo adopted. Under the present arrangement teachersare paid by separate cheques sent from the bead office at Wellington to head teachers,. who, distribute them to the staffs. "Under" the- nevr system each amount will bo deposited monthly at tbo Bank of :New = Zealand, ..and the bank will arrange for.•the distribution of credits'to "the branches. •' Head teachers will present Uic cheques (supplied .by the Government) to the. staffs, who wall present their own drafts to the banks and receive their due- salaries.
