Acceptances for the first day's races of the North Otago Jockey Club close to-morrow at 9 p.m. r For Christmas and New T ear Novelties, visit Bulleid's. This is brief mention, but nevertheless true. Their commodious warehouse is at the present moment filled with ono of the most attractive stocks of soft goods to be found in our Dominion. Needless to say special provision has been made for Christmas and New Tear business. This firm does a large trade in presentation and gift lines. Every table, counter, and stand contains some article suitable for a. Christmas or New Year present. Owing to the Christmas and New Year holidays the final sale for this year at the Waiarcka Yards will be held on Thursday, 28th inst. The first sale in the new year will be held on Tuesday. 9th January. Monday, Tuesdav, and W'ednesdav, 25th, 26tli, and 27th December, and Monday and Tuesday, • Ist and 2nd January, will be observed by tho local stock auctioneers as the Christmas and New Year holidays. On account of jthe North Otago Jockey Club's meeting, the offices will close from noon on Wednesday-, 3rd January, but on Thursday, December 28th, and the following Thursday, 4th January, the respective houses will be-open all day. TJie Oamaru Auctioneers' Association announce that they will hold their next skin sale on Friday, 19th January. The catalogues close at noon on the 18th January.
