DUNEDIN LICENSING COMMITTEE.

(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, June 5. At the annual meeting of the Dunedin Licensing Committee to-day applications for renewal of bottle licenses were refused. An application for the removal of the license of the Criterion Hotel to the Coffee Palace was refused. Applications for the renewal of the licenses of the Criterion, Farmers' Arms and Law Courts Hotels were adjourned to a future meeting,' pending repairs and other necessary works. Mr Watson, licensee of the Commercial Hotel, was cautioned for allowing .bookmakers to frequent his premises, and promised to _do all he could to remedy the nuisance with the assistance of the police. Applications for wholesale licenses by the former holders of bottle licenses were struck out. All the wholesale licenses were renewed.
