DUNEDIN GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs Dalgetj; and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly auction sale of grain and produce on Monday, the 29th inst., when they offered a large catalogue -to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition for potatoes and chaff was .very slack, and the bulk of these lots were passed in. The following are the ; prices realised: Oats.—rThe market remains very firm, with very few offerings from the country; Merchants are picking up all lines; fnV shipment which come within their limits, for there is a very good demand for seed lines. We quote: Dressed oats, 2s 6d to 2s 9d ■; prime milling, 2s 4Jd to 2s sd; good to best feed, 2s. 3jd to 2s 4Jd; inferior to medium, 2s to ' 2s 3d,-" ex store (bags extra-). Wheat. —There is a firm demand at. the present time for shipment. Millers are not keen buyers, as they hold large stocks of wheat in hand. Fowl feed is : scarce, and is readily quitted to the local trade. Prime velvet, 3s 6d to 3s 64d; velvet ear and Tuscan, 3s 5d to 3s 6d; whole fowl feed, 3s 3id to |s 4id; broken and damaged, 3s to 3s 3d per bushel (bags extra). Potatoes. —The market has been heavily supplied during the week, and at to-day's auction there was very little demand, and the bulk of the offerings were passed in. Quotations: Best table sorts, £3 17s 6d to £4 2s 6d;. mediumto "ood, £3 10s to £3 15s; damaged and inferior, £2 10s to £3 per ton (bags extra).. Chaff.—Arrivals from the country are still heavy- All the merchants hold large stocks, and it is difficult to effect sales unless at a reduction on the prices lately ruling. At to-day's sale a large quantity was offered, but the bulk ot it was passed in. Only the best is saleable, medium chaff having no attention. We quote: Prime oaten- sheat, £4 to £4 os; medium to good, id ius to £3 15s; straw chaff, £2 ,10s to £2 15s per ton (bags extra). PROPERTY SALES.
