.. The; was a fairly large audience at the; King's Hall last evening when a. new' programme , was screened. .. The Only thing- that marred the entertainment was the fact that one of the pic.tures, "Views of the Antwerp Zoo," was connected wrongly, the picture being thrown on the sheet up-side doirn. This was not the fault .of the operator, lie having received the film as it came from - the suppliers. ''Scenes in Cochin China" and "Picturesque , Frieburg" were two scenic films of great interest, and "Pathe Gazette" also contained pictures of incidents of interest. "The Padrone,"' :thofUgh not a Wild West drama as advertised, was _an exciting story of a kidnapped' child and rescue. "Two ;Men" and "Grandfather's Gift" were two good dramatic stories, and several comedies, including "Brisk and His Clever Dog" caused much merriment. The-Universal Picture Company have procured another of Messrs Jno. Fuller and Soils' programmes for to-morrow afternoon and evening entertainments at I the Opera House. The series have he<hi shown with great success in Dunediti and Timaru. Speaking of it the O.D.T. says: "The pictures ivhich_ will ■constitute the attraction at the Princes Theatre for the next- two evenings were .•=h6wn' for the first time last bight to -the usnal practically full house. The new series is a good one. and bears the impress of having been carefully selected.
