WEDDING.

The Roslyn "Baptist Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding recently,- the contracting parties being Mr Georjje? - Farquharson, late of Weston, and Miss Lilian Millar, second daughter of Mr D. Y. Millar, Roslyn. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Mr Hobday. The bride was given away hy„ her father, and looked very charming in a. dress of white embroidered mousseline de soie, and wore the orthodox wreath and veil. She was attended by Miss-Annie Millar and Miss Jessie'Farquharson as bridesmaids, who were hoth attired in white embroidered dresses and attended by Mr G. Smith as~!.best man and Mr G. Millar as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests - adjourned to the residence of the bride's parents, where a sumptuous breakfast was awaiting. The evening •wassspent in the school hall, where everybody present thoroughly enjojed themselves." The happy couple were the recipients of many handsome and costly presents, which speaks well for the esteem in which they are held. At Messrs Wilson, Bank ami C'o.'s factory, prior to his marriage, Mr Farquharson was presented bv his fellow-employees with a salad bowl and servers. .Mr Gibb, senior traveller, in making the presentation, wished the recipient much happiness and prosperity. The firm presented Mr Farquharson with a cheque and the foreman of the factory gave him a silver cruet.
