There was a, very sparse attendance of "Maries" at the meeting held in the Council Chamber to-day, called for the purpose of . making the necessary arrangements in connection with the proposed Coronation gift to Queen Marv bv the Maries, Marions, Mays, and "Marthas of the British Empire. Miss Baguall presided, and suggested ohat the schoolmasters of the province oo asked 'to collect the donations. iSventually the xneeting was adjourned x.ntU Tuesday next, in order that the movement might become more widely i:nown.
