THE THRESHING CHARGES.

At a representative meeting of threshing mill owners here this afternoon to discuss an increase of threshing charges in view of the award made in faver of the North Canterbury Threshing. Workers' Union by the Arbitration Court in September, 1910, and to be in force till September, 1912, it was. decided that the following rates he fixed for tlie coming season, conditionally that . mill owners are not compelled -to. pay -tor acook: Wheat and barley., £l2 10s per thousand bushels and £l3 10s per thousand for solid straw Tuscan and £lO 8s 4d and £ll 9s 2d per thousand bushels of oats on light and bom \ hind respectively. It way also decided to get an interpretation of the clause icJY.iiiug to a cook, and if it is ascertained tliat a cook is not to lie paid ou tlie- cooperative principle, "'another 'neeting is> to be held to further raise... the nitis of threshing. : ■ r
