She tardily, recognises, tlie natural disadvantages under whicli a woman is placed in this game, even though, the recognition does not cheer. Dress is hot- adapted to elaborate swinging. The skirt gets in the way so much at criticar moments, and in a wind its fluttering extremities assist that always easy susceptible failing of taking one's eye off the ball. So as the game is not suited to the dress, . the latter is being gradually cut to the requirements of' the game.
