Considerable interest is being shown locally in'the report that the Blenheim Rowing Club has' found in Arthur Jackson a- possible aspirant for tho sculling championship honors. Dr thaoker, one of Artist's _ supporters, says there is a possibility of Pearcc, Whclch, and the two Arnsts competing in a £SO handicap at Akaroa Regatta this year. He hopes Webb also will be a competitor, and Jackson miiv be induced to enter. Dr. Thacker" adds that if the plans for the race fall through this year he will increase the prize money to £IOO next year.
