WHEAT PROSPECTS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] (Pee Press Association.) Received August 18, at 9.30 a.m. _ London, August 17. The American visible supply of wheat is 31.756,000 bushels. At'the tallow sales 1430 casks were offered and 1372'501d at 37s 9d, 35s 6d, 37s 3d, and 34s 6d. LONDON QUOTATIONS. (Peb Press" Association.) Cliristchurch, August 17. At to-day's meeting of the executive of the North Canterbury Farmers' Union a resolution regarding the London market quotations was discussed at length. Some speakers suggested that tho quotations were held back by some party interested in the market for personal gain, and it was decided to write to the Department of Agriculture and ask for weekly quotations of all New Zealand produce.
