THE SHEARERS' DISPUTE.

(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, July 26. The conference between representatives of the Sheepowners' Union and the Shearers.' Union was concluded at 4.30 p.m. to-day. Mr Fryer stated afterwards that some difficulty wo- experienced in jirranging that matters in dispute should go before the three Conciliation Commissioners in order. +h;vt the basis of a Dominion award could be arrived at. In the meantime it was decided to refer the Canterbury dispute to the three Conciliation Commissioner*, and l furthci efforts would be made to bring about a reference of the dispute- to the Commissioners for the purpose of arriving at a Dominion award.
