Enormous damage was caused by a hurricane accompanied by lightning and-torrents of rain in Western and Southern Germany, especially at Nuremberg, Cologne, Essen and Bonn. Rome, July 24. A devastating storm occurred in the district of Wuiid, Milan. A brick factory at Soul-'.rio, in the Commune of Cariauo La-di-.-tto, collapsed, and 14 people werf billed and 20 injured. Several cbii:;;...* at Rusio Arsizio, 20 miles from .I.J-.ui. foil and killed 10 persons. '. i;i■■>-,-• were fifteen victims at Mosciano, tin;-.- at Sarouno, and other fatalities in lj:c Gallarate district. A prefctt. with troops and firemen, has gone to the chief centres of disaster. Details are lacking, as the wires are down. Received July 25. at 1.10 p.m. Rome, July 24. A cyclone in the Sirronno region killed fifty people and injured hundreds. The storm also damaged the Humbery Memorial Chapel at Mouga. Many factory chimnevs were blown down.
