Our correspondent at Invercargili wires::—Mr John Fraser, at present in charge of Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co.'s stock department here, has been promoted to the managership of the. firm's branch at Oamaru. He will take tip his new duties early next month. Mr Fraser takes a keen interest in outdoor sport, and narrowly missed inclusion in the Rugby representative team this year. He is also ail enthusiastic oarsman of no mean ability, so that he will be greatly missed in athletic circles.
