CHRTSTCHTJRCH MA R.KETS. (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, July S. The local wheat market has rather a better tone, there being a little more inquiry for both milling and fowl wheat. Two lines of prime linweathered wheat have changed hands at 3s 3d at country stations, one of 1100 bushels of Tuscan and the other of 2000 bushels of Hunters and Tuscan. The oats market is very quiet, and no business can be 'done in the face of Southland quotations. Potatoes are rather firmer, and no further purchases can be made under £5 per ton. Onions have also advanced, and are quoted at £2 10s per ton.
