THE INIQUITOUS BOOKMAKER.
(Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, July 8. . The Ministers' Association decided to request the ministers of the various churches to bring the following resolution before their congregations on Sunday: "This congregation, being of opinion that the legalising of bookmakers is a grave menace to-.the public morals and tends to foster the gambling spirit among the people of the respectfully urges upon tlie Government the desirability of introducing legislation this session for the abolition of bookmakers' licenses."
