ADMIRALTY DOCKS.

Received July S, at 10.35 p.m. London, July 8. .An . influential deputation of the Chambers of Commerce waited on Mr M'Kenna and urged that dry docks be provided for the largest warships in tho Tyne and liumber and other East Coast ports. Lord Bcresford stated that Germany had seven.docks in the North Sea and would soon have thirteen. If the British fleet was to carry out the fastest tactics clean bottoms and docks were essential. Mr M'Kenna replied that floating l docks would shortly bo completed, and would be stationed- on the East Coast and another at Portsmouth. Ho hoped Rosyth would be completed in four and a-lialf years. He would bo asking Parliament shortly for permission to build another dock at Rosyth. Ho added that the Tvne was unsuitable for large dry docks. Liverpool had just decided to build enormous docks without the Admiralty's help, and this would meet all the requirements for the West Coast. '
