(Per Press Association.) Cliristchurch, June 27. The directors of the Rubber Substitute Company (Ltd.), formed to exploit the invention of an Ashburton resident for the manufacture of a substitute for rubber, have received a cable from an influential firm in Australia, which represents large capitalists, asking the Company to place the invention in their hands to deal with full Atistralian rights, and also to "have the handling of the same on the London market.
