(Per Press Association.)
Received May 25, at 8.55 a.m. St. Petersburg, May 24. The authorities have discovered that two Rembrandts, a Murillo, and several other pictures in the Hermitage Gallery havo been replaced by clever forgeries. Great consternation has been caused by the discovery, particularly as Lelimann, one of the directors of the gallery, has just been convicted of replacing the Imperial jewels with imitations.
