CHRISTCHTTRCH RACES. (Per Pbess Association.) Christcliurch, March 29. The weather conditions for the second day of the Canterbury Jockey Club's autumn meeting were much improved, and the course was in capital order. The attendance was good, and the racing was extremely interesting. The totalisator investments were £12,180, as against £13,785 last yea?, while nine bookmakers were licensed inside at. £2O 10s each and twenty-nine outside at £lO 10s each. Additional results: — Great Autumn Handicap, of 1000 sovs; one mile and a-half. —Outlander, 6.7, 1; Bridge, 6.10 (car. 6.12), 2; Oiyoi, 9.1, 3.. Also started: Gold Lace 8.10, Diabolo 8.8, Husbandman 8.7, Prim 8.3, Ingoda 7.9, Waipaku 7.8, Tikitere 7.7, Osiris 7.6, Guianforte 7.0, Genius 7.0 (including 71b penalty), and Gunboat 6.7. Tikitere was first into tlie straight, but at the distance Outlander drew out and, stalling off a strong run by Bridge, won by a neck, Oiyoi three-parts of a length back, with Diabolo fourth. Time, 2min 36 2-ssec. Addirigton "Plate, of 100 sovs; five furlongs.—Fasnakyle, 8.11, 1; The Seer, 8.8, 2; Sapience, 7.13, 3. Also started: Ecarte 9.2, Nightlight 8.2, Vinco 8.1, Susa 7.8, and Windrusli 6.13. Won by a length. Time, lmin '4sec. The winner was bought by Mr H. Friedlander for £l6O.

Time, lmin 29 l-ssec. Templetbn Handicap, of 300 sovs; six furlongs.—Effort, 8.5, 1;-Penates, 10.8. 2; Queen of Spades, 6.7, 3. Also started: Tumut 9.5, Kilindini 8.9, Flitaway 5.3, Federal 8.0, Boanerges 7.13;- Cute 7.11, Silkweb 7.8, Gipsy Belle 6.7, and Zemlia 6.7. Won by a length and a-half. Time, lmin 16 2-5 sec. Final Handicap, of 150 sovs; one mile. —Lovelorn, 6.10, 1; Kilwinning, 8.12, 2; Cronstadt, 8.12, 3. Also started: Gwendolina 9.0, All Guns 'B.O, White Cockade 7.10, Botitade 7.3, Gold Braid 7.2, Shindy 6.7, and Pretty Nell 6.7 (carried 7.7). Won by a head, the same distance between second and third. Time, lmin 43 4-ssec.

FEILDING RAGES. .. (Per Phess Association.) Felldirig, March 29 The Feilding Easter meeting was concluded to-day, when there was a, good attendance. Rain fell all the afternoon. The racing was good, and there were no accidents. The totalisator figures for the two days were £24,817 against £22,104 last Easter. Results : Denbigh - Stakes.—St. Bill, 5.9 (W. AUCKLAND RACES. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, March 29. Rain again fell this afternoon, when the Auckland Racing Club's carnival was concluded. Also started: Ambrosian 8.10, and Elegance 8.10. Won by three lengths. Time, 2mm 47 3-osec. Autumn Handicap, of 750 sovs; one mile and a-haif. —Mr T. Barnaby's Sedition, 8.5 (M'Millan), 1; Santa Rosa (Whittaker), 2; Ngapuka, 7.4 (Buchanan), 3. Also started: Equitas 8.9, Waiari 8.9, Rauparaha 6.10, and Michaeloff 6.6. Won by a neck, with half a length between second and third. Time. 2min 3Ssec. St.' Helier's Hurdle .Race, two miles. —Mr V. Also started: Taimaimipo 7.13; Jeua 7.8, .Coromandel 7.7, Waiata'7.s, and Elect'rakoff 6.12. Sir Artegal got the decision by half alength from General Soult and Malieno, which pair the judge was unable to separate. Taimainupo was fourth. Time, lmin 30 2-ssec. — T Tourist Handicap; five furlongs. —Mr K. Heaton's Lady Frances, 8.3, (Wilson), 1; Soultoria, 7.0 (Greay), 2; Impulsive, 8.3 (Brown), 3. STUD SALES. [By Electkic Telegraph—Copyright.] (Per Press Association.) Received March 29, at 9.50 p.m. Sydney, March 29. At the yearling sales, Mr J. B. Reid (New Zealand) purchased the Orzilfizz filly at 60 guineas. The principle sales effected were of a\ colt, a brother to Lord Nolan, at 1000 guineas.; PositanoEtraweenio colt, 1125gsJ; Malster-Idalia colt, 674g5; Maltster-Chutney filly, 700gs. The Maltster-Crossfire colt realised 1125g5, the Malster-Rose colt 625g5, the Malster-Adelia colt 930gs, and the Master-Last Loch colt 1500gs.
