OAMARU EASTER BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

To-day sawjlis North Ctago Bowling Asscciaxioivs tournament for 1910 completed most satisfactorily, the weather for the final ties surpassing even that of the previous days. Local interest centred mainly in the Association Pairs, where Meek and'Swindiey were viewed as having a good chance to add laurels to the Phoenix crown,' and their supporters found themselves justified, for the local men just squeezed home after a good match with Green and M'Farlane, of St. Kilda. With seven heads to go Swindley had as many points to his "credit, but his opponents, who had. contested every scoring bowl, were rewarded at last with a 6, and this put them on level terms. At the last end they were three down: again, however, and lay one. This was not enough, and M'Farlane, with his last bowl" attempted to convert it into a three by trailing the kitty. He played the shot, but gained only two points, and "the prize went to Phoenix. In the other Pairs game G. P. Mollison had run through to the semi-finals, but had to leave for home, and his place was filled by Scott, who' with Allen as his partner, pulled off the trophv . for . St. ' Kilda, beating "Veifcii and Cormack in the finals after an interesting-game in which the margin was never great. "It has been throughout . and in every respect a most enjoyable and successful tournament. This was the view expressed by all the visitors as they shook hands in bidding farewell to the tournament of 1910. For this success the greatest credit is duo to Mi- H. F.
